Frequently Asked Questions

Does the bridal stylist available for on-site services on the morning of the wedding?

Absolutely! I am willing to travel to your home or chosen wedding preparation venue anywhere in Ireland on the morning of your wedding. In cases where travel requires me to leave my home before 4:30 am or if it's a journey exceeding 2 hours, I kindly request accommodation for the previous night.

When is the ideal time for a hair trial?

It is recommended to schedule the hair trial 6-12 weeks prior to your wedding day, as this timeframe ensures your hair is most similar in length and texture to the actual day. However, flexibility is key, and I am open to conducting trials after you have chosen your wedding dress style. Trials are conducted at my private studio in Headford, Co. Galway.

How should you prepare your hair before styling on the wedding day?

I recommend having freshly washed hair the day before or, for fine or oily hair, on the morning of the wedding. If washing on the wedding morning, ensure your hair is completely dry before styling to avoid delays. For those requiring a blowdry, such as mothers of the bride, washing just before styling is suitable, or I can dampen the hair with a water spray if needed. Detailed instructions are provided in the Trial and Wedding Day Hair Preparation attachment sent to all brides during the booking process.

How long does the bridal hairstylist stay at the hair preparation location?

I allocate 1-1.5 hours at the end of the morning, post-styling the bridal party, allowing time for dressing, photos, and relaxation. During this time, I tidy up my workspace, perform any finishing touches, and ensure the bride's hair is perfect. I leave only after confirming everyone is satisfied with their hairstyles, demonstrating how to remove the veil for later, and creating a stress-free departure.

How long does hair styling take on the wedding morning?

With 18+ years of hairdressing experience, including 4 years exclusively in bridal hair, I efficiently manage the day's schedule. Generally, I allow one hour per person, but this can be adjusted based on individual styles and time constraints. Detailed discussions and timelines are established during the trial, though many bridal parties prefer a relaxed approach on the wedding morning.

How many looks are included in a trial?

After a thorough consultation, we collaborate on a single bridal hair look tailored to your preferences, taking approximately 2-2.5 hours. Additional looks, such as a Hollywood Wave and Loose Low Bun, may require a separate appointment and incur an additional fee. The trial is included in the overall fee for 2024 all-inclusive packages.

If changes are desired after the trial, is a second trial necessary?

Minor adjustments can be made on the wedding day, such as adding loose pieces or extra height. However, if a completely different style is desired, a second trial is recommended but not mandatory, depending on your comfort and trust in my expertise.

Do mothers/bridesmaids require a trial?

Unfortunately, due to a busy schedule, trials are exclusively available for the bride.

I’m struggling to decide on a style?

Consider looking for hairstyles with similar hair color and texture. Experimenting with looks, especially those with a similar neckline to your wedding dress, helps determine preferences. Keep in mind factors like comfort, set vs. loose styles, and the impact of hair extensions on achieving desired looks.

Where should clip-in hair extensions be obtained?

I recommend extensions based on your hair color and length during the trial, using my own sample extensions to visualize the final result. I will send you a online shopping link with the correct shade, length and volume at the trial appointment is you decide to purchase them.

Can changes be made after booking the date?

Adjustments to the number of people can be made, but the minimum booking fee remains applicable.

What is the allocated time for wedding services on the day?

Brides are allotted a minimum of 1.5 hours, while guests typically receive 45 minutes each, translating to approximately 1 hour per person for scheduling purposes.

Is it possible to book a trial before confirming the wedding date?

Trial dates are exclusively reserved for brides with confirmed bookings, as demand is high. Dates are secured upon payment of the deposit.

Is there a minimum fee?

For 2024/25, the standard booking minimum fee is €840, covering the bride on the wedding day, hair trial, flower girls, and travel expenses.

What if the minimum requirements aren't met?

The minimum booking fee of 4 people remains applicable.

How are 2025 bookings handled?

Bookings open on 1/1/2024 for 2025. They are managed on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure a date, submit an inquiry via the website's contact page, and upon receiving a quote, pay the deposit to confirm your date.

What are the travel charges?

Travel charges are inclusive up to a 120-minute round trip (60 minutes from Headford, Co Galway). For locations over 60 minutes one way, a travel fee applies. Overnight stays are requested for bookings 2 hours away or if I need to leave before 4:30 am.

The standard booking minimum of €840 applies to all bookings, covering the bride on the wedding day, 4 guests, hair trial, flower girls, and travel expenses.
