From "Yes!" to "I Do"

A Bridal Hair Timeline and Essential Checklist for Your Dream Wedding in Ireland

Congratulations, lovely brides-to-be! Planning your dream wedding can be both exciting and overwhelming, but fear not! In this post I will take you through a timeline and to-do list, ensuring your special day is nothing short of perfection. So, grab a cup of tea, relax, and let's get started!

Engagement Phase:

  1. Time to celebrate!: Pop the champagne and bask in the engagement love vibes. Take time to celebrate with your loved ones, announcing your exciting news. Don’t rush into booking things just yet, take a moment to enjoy this exciting time!

12-18 Months Before the Wedding:

1. Vision and Venue: Sit down with your partner and visualize your dream wedding. Discuss your preferred wedding style, theme, and size. Make a guest list and choose your bridal party. Once you have an idea, start scouting for venues that match your vision. Be sure to consider your budget and book your dream location well in advance to secure your date. My absolute fav wedding venues are;

5 Star Glam;

Glenlo Abbey, Galway

Adare Manor, Limerick

Ashford Castle, Mayo

Markree castle, Sligo

Ballynahinch Castle, Galway

Alternative Bride;

Ballymagarvey Village, Meath

Mount Druid, Westmeath

Coolbawn quay, Tipperary

2. Contact a celebrant/priest once you have a venue secured and book them in for wedding day.

3. Bridal Hairstylist and make up artist: Finding the perfect bridal hairstylist is crucial, as they'll help you achieve your desired look. Search for a skilled and experienced hairstylist who specializes in bridal hairstyles in Ireland. Look on their social media, check client testimonials, and pricing to see if they are a right fit for you.

4. Photographer and Videographer: Capture the magic of your wedding day by hiring a talented photographer and videographer. Research professionals whose style aligns with your aesthetic, and book them early to avoid disappointment.

4. Music and Entertainment: Get your guests dancing the night away with great music and entertainment. Book a talented DJ or live band that resonates with your taste and style. Don't forget to discuss your must-play songs and any special requests.3. Florist and Decor: Set the mood for your wedding with the help of a skilled florist and decorator. Discuss your color palette and preferred floral arrangements, and find experts who can transform your venue into a fairytale setting.

9-12 Months Before the Wedding:

1. Wedding Dress Shopping: This is the exciting part! Visit bridal boutiques and start trying on wedding dresses. Remember to keep your bridal hairstyle in mind when choosing your gown. Once you've found the perfect dress, schedule fittings and alterations to ensure a flawless fit.

2. Honeymoon Options; If you plan on taking a honeymoon right after your wedding now id the time to start looking up your options!

3. Florist; Now that you have a theme chosen, you can match your bouquet and floral decor to that theme. Your florist will help your vision come to life!

4. Cake/Extras; If you would love an icecream van or coffee stand to treat your guests now is the time to book it. Also gather some cake ideas and book someone to create your dream wedding cake!
